I've never played God of War...but this reminded me a lot of some Egyptian type game/movie/ something... Which is nice, because I like to 'visualize' music. I like this track quite a lot. You did a really good job at keeping everything flowing.

Keep it up.

hey man thanks a bunch for listening to my stuff!

well you definetly should pick up a copy of both 1 and 2...they are great games :D

I guess it is somewhat persian sounding too...it uses a saz(the plucked instrument) which is relative to countries like turkey and iran...not persian but close in a way :P

awesome man, thanks for the review!

Wow

This was a really original piece! I don't think I've ever heard a Rock piece mixed with a Dance piece. Really good job. haha By the sound of the guitar, it sounds like you used FL Slayer? :D

Well, good job!

Stargame responds:

Yeah, it was Slayer. I use it alot in an attempt to learn how to use it well. I suppose it was pretty original.... The song that I ReMixed it from is about 10-14 seconds long, so a lot of the stuff that you hear is indeed original. Rock, dance.... It's all good. I was going more for rock than dance, dance and rock don't usually mix too well :P

Wow, this was quite nice! The build up was really good (I love songs that have a really muted build up). You seem to have the muted build-up down in pretty much any song of yours that has it.

I really can't critique to much on this song, because it's so damn good! haha. I think the piano part could have been just a little longer. After the piano, you could have gone back into the trance y melody, but it's still really good the way it is. You could have also changed the melody a little, but that's just me...

PS: Hit me back. :)

Envy responds:

I'm a huge fan of the buildup. I'm nowhere without it.

To tell you the truth... The piano was because I couldnt think of a good way to end it... (when in doubt... use a piano)

But I still love piano. And yeah i could have changed the melody... But I didnt ^.^

Ya pretty much.

well

This was a pretty good piece. The first 5 seconds was really nice sounding! Then the synth stings got too low, and then the synth got WAY too high at the end. Prefect this a little more, and you'll have a good sounding loop!

awesome, thanks for the review man. I'll test out how it sounds without the huge leaps :P

Well, it seems you have a rather...well...different piece on your hands here. Not a bad thing!

I do like the ambient sounds, they are quite peaceful, yet you almost ruin them by drowning them out by the loud drums! turn the volume on the drums down a little...

Drums. Humm. The drum work is quite good! I do like the beat, but this type of drum beat does not go with this kind of song. The drums are too fast, too loud and seem to be very out of place throughout the whole song. If you maybe had some slower, and softer drums in the back, then you could truly make this piece great.

Please don't take any of this as an offense, it's just constructive criticism. =)

Thanks, I think I needed some critisism :P

Humm..

(Just to let you know, when I listen to classical music, I visualize a lot. I'm just throwing this out there so I don't sound insane. haha)

As I was listening to this piece, I couldn't help but picture a battle field in the 1800's or a battle field during Roman times. The drums sounded like cannon explosions, or something along those lines...
When the strings and woodwinds came in, towards the middle/end, it was almost like a sad scene. Like one side losing the battle.
This really sounded like a marching piece to me, which is a good thing. I'd have to say, this is quite an original piece. Keep up the work. Really nice job.

Really good job

MaestroRage responds:

Thats perfectly fine TMM43! Every piece I write is built on a story, a world, a image, or an emotion. I hope you have visuals when you hear these tracks, for that is ultimately what they are here for!

The drums sounded like cannon explosions... I really really liked that image. I have never even considered such a venue imagery wise. But when I listen to it with this mindset, it's true! I can see them!

I'm glad you felt the energy from this piece, thank you for sharing your story. Thank you again for the review ^^.

Nice

Really impressive for only an hour's work! I really can't say anything bad about this piece. Keep up the good work.

wolf-tech responds:

ya he better like it worked my ass of on it.

Eh...

This was a confusing song to say the least. There were too many sounds playing at once during one part, and some of the song seemed to be random... The drums were sorta annoying too.
Don't get me wrong, I think you could do a lot more with this. You have the potential to make this song better. =D
